My mini-fridge was left open overnight, and my smackpack was in the door. It was room temp for 8-12 hours. It's cooling down again, but will this have any long term effect? I'm going to make a starter on Thursday, will it be obvious if anything went bad?

Thanks!

Tim

the yeast will be fine, you need temps near 100 or more to kill the yeast...And making a startr is always a good idea, because it will reproduce all your viable cells, so if any (unlikely) were to have bit the dust, it won't matter because your growing more from the survivors.
