Canada, eh!
Anyone have any experience with smacking it too early? I've heard the packs are designed very tough and won't pop. I will be fermenting around 5pm on Sunday and was going to smack now, 10am Saturday.

Should be fine...it isn't like it is 4 days in advance.

Just curious about what people have found with longer periods of post-smacking before using for fermentation?

(no time/need for a starter for this one, it is a simple English pale ale / brown ale)

No problem. Just put it in the fridge once it has fully activated (after a few hours at room temp) and it will easily keep until Sun. Montanaandy
