Ok, so I brew. I never do a secondary. I brew for a week or so, then bottle. Great tasting beer. But, I always have yeast at the bottom of my bottle.
Is this to be expected? How can I prevent this at all? Is that possible or just get used to it?
I don't really care because it tastes great but I dont want friends to be frightened.

That's normal. When you prime to carbonate your bottles the yeast eat that bit of sugar and produce co2, resulting in carbonation. If you want to get around this you can keg and force carb. Most of us who have made the change never look back. I only bottle if its a Big beer that I want to stash away for awhile for aging. Just leave the last oz or so in the bottle and pour slowly and you should get pretty clear beer. If not, the yeast won't hurt you, it's actually supposed to be good for digestion once your GI tract gets used to it.

CBMbrewer is trying to kill you. It needs to be disposed of immediately. I am EPA certified to handle this, so send me your address and I'll take care of it.

/but seriously, it's normal...commercial beers that are bottle conditioned do exactly the same thing.
