I was brewing tonight, and absentmindedly sanitized the top of the yeast package with boiling water (!). It was only in there for about 2 seconds, but what do you think the chances are of the yeast surviving. No signs of fermentation yet, but it's only been a couple of hours. I know only time will tell, but what do you guys think?

Assuming packet = dry yeast, no problem. Dried yeast isn't as tough as spores, but it's tough.

It was liquid yeast, but looks like they pulled through, at least from what my brew partner is telling me over the phone. We'll see, was thinking about repitching anyway depending on what looks to be happening over the next couple of days.
