Hi I'm pretty new to home brewing so this could be a dumb question. I just put down two batches this morning and within 2 hours all of the yeast I sprinkled on top has seemed to have disappeared is this normal? Any input would be appreaciated....

Perfectly normal. The yeast will dissolve and then begin eating the fermentable sugars. I can some time so just step bak and let the yeast do what they do best. You will have beer.

It's a bucket so can not really see what's going on but thanks a lot for the info much appreciated!!!

It's always a good idea to hydrate dry yeast before pitching. It supposedly puts more viable yeast into the wort. Pretty simple: bring 1 cup of water to boil, cool to 80°F, add yeast, stir occasionally for 30 minutes, then pitch into 70° wort!
