Im out of town on business, but I logged in today because my email notified me that I had a PM from someone.

Anyway, I clicked through a few posts and I'm seeing a LOT about some Marine (usmcruz).

Could someone point me to the place where whatever happened started happening? I'm WAY to intrigued to just drop it and not see it myself.

More the a week ago (on the 4th or 5th from what it looks like).

I missed the fun!!!!

Note: the offending posts have since been removed from the latter thread. The first post there was after the fact (I guess this is obvious, but since I've got them out of order I'd point that out)

man... i can't leave you guys alone at ALL.

when I get back to town, everyone is getting grounded.

i just caught the bottle sanitizing thread.

what a friendly guy!
He hadn't been doing himself any favours for a while with his 'This is the ****** way i do it, you will too! Period.' attitude in posts.
His most interesting comment to one of mine was 'tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes'. He claimed not to use 'fancy words' later on. I guess this display towards me then was just him 'showboating' the pinnacle of his vocabulary......

You certainly missed some good laughs.

That guy probably has the saddest life of anyone who brews beer. Where did he go wrong?

What is extremely unfortunate about it, was that the guy really knew his sh!t. He just had a wrong philosophy on how he was portraying the information. Like I said before--I knew from the first few posts of his we were gonna have trouble.

It is unfortunate he flipped out cause he seemed like a pretty knowledgeable brewer. I hope he didn't go "Private Pyle" on us.

Yeah, you missed it. I was on when he started. His posts started littering the boards, talking crap to Dude's former name. I caught the first one, and they just kept polluting the board. I like coming here, and I like the people on these boards. Being drunk as I was, I thought it was a good idea to counter him and try to contain him in a new thread. I really made more of a mess by doing this, but that's passed.

P.S., Michael Schaap, I believe I read a post by you where he sent an "up close and personal" MPEG of a machine gun to you. Is this related to the incident?

Well i disagree on that one slightly. I watched his 'wine advice' and noticed he seemed to be handing out his knowledge based on what he'd just read up on from previous posts. He first said to someone 'dont move wine it'll oxidize' then a few days later said 'degas wine by shaking it' after some one else suggested it on another thread! I doubt he's made wine ever let alone made two in a few days to change his outlook that fast! ;)
I took my beer advice on here from the people i knew brewed alot, make a few mistakes along the way and said so rather than the 'golden boy brewery - my way is the only way' types!:D
