Have you considered BruControl? A little bit of learning how to process but a lot more potential and different interfaces (RTD, 4-20ma, and one wire Probes). It looks like the BCS is basically dead, while the BruControl forum on Homebrew Talk is very active.
All of the hardware (Temp Probes, SSRs etc.) from a BCS setup can be used with a BruControl setup.
