It's been nine days in the bottle and I figured I'd check on this batch. The first bottle I pulled out had what looked like some kind of aggregate at the bottom and some tiny black specks floating around and I frowned. However, I then pulled out five or six bottles and none of the rest of them had this, just the glaze of yeast at the bottom and some ordinary yeast particles floating around.

My question is: would you drink that bottle?

Pros:
- More beer to drink
- I'd be able to taste it for science

Cons:
- I might get sick from some kind of contamination

That appears to be yeast. It's what makes your bottle carbonated by eating the sugar, producing alcohol and CO2, and then settling to the bottom when done.

Brownish specks are often hop particles, or yeast clumps.
