Hey all,
I've been into brewing for a while, but never gave cider a shot...until now. Bought a gallon of 365 organic juice from Whole Foods, threw in about half a packet of S-04, and slapped a blowoff tube on that bad boy. I didn't add any extra fermentables because it was already at 1.050. Good enough for this guy.
Now it's time to practice carbing, sweetening, and flavoring. Hopefully I'll be ably to churn out a drinkable product.
Anyways, no questions (yet). Just wanted to share the excitement, and to say thanks to the community. I've been reading posts in this forum for a little while. All of the communal knowlegde here has really helped me out.
I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
