wlp060 for a porter?

Washed yeast for the first time, wlp060 from a smash pale ale I brewed. I have leftover fermentables that would make a nice 2 gal. porter. Can I use this yeast for it??? The idea is not to spend any $$$$$!

Absolutely!! Why not? Its an american ale yeast so you will get a nice crisp porter. Just keep the malt bill clean and should be a great drinker i would think. i love to try new yeasts on new beers. NEVER know what you could make.
