So i built my 110v Ekettle with 2 elements. I want to use my Immersion chiller and biab bag in there without causing any troubles.

So I decided I could buy THIS FROM AMAZON and drill some holes in it and put it on some stainless bolts for legs.

Does anyone see any problem with that or should I try something else? Im open to suggestions i just want to keep stuff off of the elements.

Wow, that is going to be a lot of drilling! I'd imagine if you put enough small holes it would work. Why not go the 'bazooka tube' route and either buy one of those or make one out of SS braid?

I'm just down the road from you in NBO, BTW.

Are you going to run a dip tube under it to drain your kettle? If so, I use a false bottom in my kettle and cannot use pellets because they clog my false bottom (just be aware this is a possibility). If you're content with leaf hops you could just bag them and avoid all the work. That said, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but I'm not sure what you are looking for if you BIAB.
If you do make one post a picture for us and let us know how it works!

Ahh, that answers my questions. Still be aware that it may not work so well if you use pellet hops.

That also shouldnt be an issue... I use a hop spider... I could technically use a steamer rack but I want to make sure that it stands high enough.

I ended up buying a cheap concord steaming rack and put it on 4 lag bolts to raise it above my elements. Now its perfect. My BIAB Bag and my chiller will not rest on the elements.

That looks like a great solution, your IC can rest right in it, your bag will stay off the elements, but it's not so big that it would create too much heat buildup underneath. Nice find!
