My hops came in 2 oz pack and I had an extra 1 oz that after splitting I put it in a ziplock and into the freezer. Will these hops still be good in 7-10 days when I transfer the the secondary to dry hop with? My main concern - will it contaminate my beer - I was not overly careful with them as I thought they would be going in my boil (touch my hands and unsanitized countertop, etc).

What do you think?
thanks

rdwhahb seriously dude, hops are not sanitary from the fields to your home, they just act as a preservative to our beer and dry hopping will not harm your beer unless youve been keeping your hops unopened in the toilet.

purchase a vacuumn sealer for longterm storage of hops tho' the enemy of hops is oxydation from exposure to atmoshpere after drying. a 1-2 wks layover from unseal to your dry hop is not a problem but buying in bulk and splitting up without vac-sealing is not good.
