i found a kid on craigslist selling the parts from his old keggerator. i assume its commercial sankey will it work? i know the tank will work and i assume regulator and lines, is that a good assumption? the faucet will work too right?

You betcha! Just change some connectors and you are golden!

Welcome to the keg club!

Just make sure it is turned on and check the temp before you give them the cash.

its not a whole kegerator ist just the faucet, lines, co2 tank, and regulator. he said its empty, is there a way to check it?

If the CO2 tank is empty? Close the valves and turn on the tank (main, big knob on top). If the regulator is attached, the gages will pop up to pressure. If it was already there, you can open a valve to the line and hear it hiss.

That said, you may be on a nearly empty tank. If there are 2 valves, whichever reads a higher PSI will tell you the remaining tank pressure. I'd say if it reads anything under 500 PSI, you might as well refill it before you use it the first time...

I can't tell you what a standard tank should weigh empty. That's the only other way to tell without taking it into a shop to be refilled.
