Ok so not quite...

Blue Moon Mountain Abby Ale, she drank it, and I told her I'm not going to try to duplicate something she doesn't find drinkable, for her sake. I have my batches that I drink and that is separate. Her comment: "It doesn't have that bitter aftertaste, it's got this beginning spike and then it mellows, but it's close"

Shiner Wild Hare Pale Ale she also said she would keep drinking and did, with the comment it was a little too sharp.

So... With my limited knowledge of what different types of hops do to beer and such, what is a possible alternate for me to brew between the two, that wouldn't be as "sharp" that I could try on her? I'm speaking to mostly those that have tried to brew for their Significant Other before.

Thanks...

Kolsch. Bee cave recipe on here is great. The wife loved it, she pretty much a light macro beer drinker.

Had it on tap at my daughter's 1st birthday, and it was gone. Mostly everyone was BMC drinkers.

Extract or PM? I am up to Extract and Steeping Grains at the moment.... Not ready for AG

Oh yeah...guess I should have actually read it :)

:p I'll have to see if I can make something of that type, IBU's are a little high but I may be able to reduce the overall hop bill. Brewersfriend says if I reduce to .75oz of Perle I should be more in my range.
