I've still fairly new to these forums, and I've noticed that lots of people recomend aluminum pots. Seems like I read somewhere why it is a good choice, but I forgot...

...so why are aluminum pots a good choice?

I've got stainless steel. Is that ok?

Aluminum is cheaper and lighter. Stainless steel prices just seem to be going up, but doesn't have the potential to be a reactive metal like aluminum. So if you already have stainless steel, great! But aluminum is safe to brew with also.
