Whoops. Didn't follow wine kit instructions.

I bought a 28 day Merlot Cabernet kit wine. It was supposed to be in the primary for one week. Life got in the way and it has been 5 or 6 weeks now. Will this present any problems or can I just rack to the 2ndary fermenter now?

I did not open the primary but did get around to racking it tonight. It smelled a little odd. We'll see how it turns out

What did you smell, sulfur? The sooner that you address this the better.
