So,
I've been thinking of adding a return line to my boil kettle so I can create a whirlpool in my wort and try to separate out some of my trub/hop matter.
Then I can pass the worh thru my counter flow chiller.
Anyhow, my question is, will a whirlpool work for whole hops too? I usually use a combination of pellet and whole hops.
Wonder if I'd be wasting my time to do that?
I'm not sure if my March pump has enough snot to create an effective whirlpool either...
I'm thinking my pickup tube would likely be something like this (thanks Bobby_M)
