I recently made a counter flow chiller. My set up is an EBIAB system with ball valve that has a dip tube to a pump then to the CFC. The pump works fine when recirculating the mash but as soon as I hook up the chiller it doesn't pump the wort at all. The Kettle, pump, and chiller are on the same table. Does the chiller or pump need to be lower than the bottom of the kettle?
