So i have a great homebrew store by my house and I can get all my stuff for kegging for $190. I definatly want to give them my business but i can get a keg, lines, regulator and everything else besides the co2 tank for $106 from them. Would it be worth it to get a tank seperatly, and where would i look for the best prices? I do want to give them my business and i am definatly buying all my kegs from them ($40 each, starting w/ one, working up to 4) but if anyone else knows a great deal on regulators or tanks i would be interested to know. Buy all from them or what?

Check craigslist. Also, people might be selling kegerators that don't work (or are POS) for cheap, but they might have a tank and regulator included.

Morebeer has some of the cheaper prices...I think it will run you ~$75.

So are you saying that the tank is $84 ($190-106)? That's not too bad.

i search craigslist every day but i have never found nething worthwhile.

You might save a little, but not much, by looking elswhere for your tank. It seems like you can get one for about $55 plus shipping on ebay. Some of the homebrew websites sell them for $60 to $80. My local airgas place sells them for $100 filled. So, I think you may be doing ok unless you can track down a used one on Craigslist. Good Luck

i'd look for an aluminum tank too. a steel tank adds nothing beneficial, and is a noticable weight difference.
