Fellow hopheads,
I am about to order some hops and want to make sure I get the 09 crop. The only place I have found 09 varieties available are freshops.com and hopsdirect.com. I was wondering which of those two you all think are the best, and also if there are any other places you would recommend. If vendor questions are not allowed please disregard this post, and accept my apologies. Thanks all.

Both places are great, hopsdirect I think has better pricing. You cannot get 09 pellet anywhere yet I dont think.

No HBS will have 09's yet. I vote hops direct.

i've ordered from freshops and hopsdirect -- they're both great and so much cheaper than what you'd get else where.

I've ordered from both. I prefer hopsdirect because of their pricing.

You should get a vacuum sealer and break up the pound bags into smaller bags, like 2 or 4 ounces each.

Freshops has a nice selection, however. They're the go-to place for harder to find varieties like simcoe.

+1.

buying hops for $15/pound (less than a dollar an ounce) instead of $3/oz ($42/pound) is awesome, but only if you can store them well.

of course my wife is convinced i'm dealing drugs out of our freezer now...

Good deal, looks like hopsdirect and freshops are still the heavy hitters. Gonna get a pound of cascade, centennial, and amarillo from hops direct, and some smaller amounts of other varieties from freshops. I have definitely been looking into the vacuum to avoid the cheesy hops I ended up with last season. Thus far I have just been splitting them up into 2oz ziplocs and pumping co2 in right before i throw em in the freezer, but i think its time for a sealer. Ill post about how stinky the hops are when I get em. Thanks everyone.
