Alright, I'm getting a little frustrated. I want to buy some grapes for my father, who is big into vinting from grapes.

I've called distributors in my area -- produce distributors -- and no luck.

I've called the 3 vinyards in my area, and none of them sell.

I've surfed the net, reading in the archives here, looking on other sites as well, to no avail.

So where can I buy grapes? Is there a reputable online vendor who might be able to ship them to me? Or am I stuck out of luck?

I'm in the armpit of Florida, if that makes a difference. Any and all suggestions and tips welcome. Thanks in advance.

You say you're in the armpit. I'm not exactly sure where in the armpit, but if you feel like a small roadtrip, there's a spot near Tifton, GA (Tifton is near Valdosta) called Paulk vineyard. They allow "pick your own" grapes. Picking 50 lbs of grapes might not be fun, but they at least sell them. It might be worth a phone call at least.

The only caveat is they only grow muscadine grapes. No variety. But in the face of nothing...

Might try asking others at the vineyards. I went on a vineyard tour and the guide said no, so asked the guys who were working (not the guide). I got their card and he told me when they were harvesting and to call around that time. The guide objected and mentioned BATF violations ... the vintner explained that BATF rules only applied to "yeasted" must, not grapes or juice.

I scored 2 7gal buckets of the pre-yeasted must, but I bet he would have given me grapes if I had asked.

Thanks, both responders. I will check Paulk vinyard, as well as contact the other vinyards again.
