I am making a strawverrywheat beer, in which i will rack to secondary to add strawberries. I was wondering what the best way is to check the gravity without risking oxygen getting to the beer? Could i just drop my sanitized hydrometer into my carboy and leave it in there and put the bunge back on? Other thoughts?

If you have a beer thief or a turkey baster, you can pull a sample from your primary. The layer of CO2 should provide sufficient protection for a short term exposure.
