Thinking of using a pound or 2 of some orange blossom honey in my next brew... sg of 1.06-1.065 hopefully... fg of 1.013-1.016...hopefully.. I guess that can all change on how much honey. I'm not sure when to add. Full boil?? Half boil?? end??..Half full Half end?? Too many choices.. I could go on and on... Any advice on how much and when???

I just did a honey blonde where I did 3 lbs. of honey, half with 10 minutes left in the boil, the other half in secondary. It came out pretty well, the honey taste was a little strong, maybe next time I'd do 3/4 at the boil and 1/4 in secondary.

I added two pounds to my Grand Cru Ale about 15 minutes before the end of the boil. Not strong at all, but a subtle flavor.

If you want to retain the most honey flavor you can bring the honey up to 150 degrees F for 10 min while it's covered then cool down to 70 then add to primary or secondary. I wouldn't boil it at all. :mug:

I have a honey wheat in the secondary as we speak I added 2 lbs at the initial boil and th added 1lb into the secondary just my experience I also heard you might only want to use clover honey
