When do specific off flavors show up?

Next batch try using bottled water or RO and see if the same thing happens, I doubt it and then you know it's a water issue you need to address

Whenever you try to diagnose an issue you need to deal with none element at a time or you run the risk of making so many changes you never figure it out.

If your water has chlorine or chloramines then it needs to be dealt with so start with hanging your water source as step one.
