Starting fermentation with 1.052 is OK or too high?

That's fine... I just brewed a 55/45 wheat/2-row with an OG of 1.060.

I guess though, too high for what?

It would depend on what kind of beer you were making....

I like my Hefe(s) low alcohol so I would say yes... but if you were brewing a Wheat IPA (Ale Yeast) ... (hey! people do all sorts of things) then it is fine...
