Below are two different beers' ingredients, as listed by their brewers. Both have this distinct, sweetish, malty fruitiness. It's especially present in Danzig Baltic porter, and fairly present in Alewerks Tavern Ale (pictured respectively).

Maybe I'm way off and it's hop-driven. It really seems malty though. I hope there's enough info here to find that common ground.

I've brewed plenty of good porter and brown, and plenty with many of these ingredients. I still haven't achieved any of said flavor.

My guess might be the yeast. An English yeast, even Safale S-04, and if fermented in the upper range, perhaps 70F +, you should get a lot of fruit flavor. I did a brown ale a couple months ago and it came out with a lot of fruit flavor which could have only come from the yeast, and it fermented at about 70F. On that one I used Mangrove Jack - Burton Union

I wouldn't think so, strictly because danzig is a lager and the other is an ale. Also having used s-04 I don't think it's that. It's not like an ester. It's richer and maybe a bit sweeter.
