If you could get the Morebeer temp controlled conical or the new Blichmann Breweasy what would you choose?

Swimming in funds, are we?

I've never gotten to play with any fancy toys like that, so take my advice with a grain of salt. A friend (owner of my LHBS) said he'd experimented with fan-cooled conicals like the MoreBeer one and that they didn't work all that well keeping the temp down. Now, I don't know if he was referring to that particular model, or a competitor, and that's also hearsay so again take it for what it's worth.

So I'd probably go Blichmann between the two. If nothing else, it seems like the hardware you get is a pretty good bargain for purchasing as a package.

Second for the Blichmann.*
One fancy fermentor = one fancy fermentor. If you brew at any appreciable rate you will probably have more than one thing going at a time. I'd get a chest freezer fermentor and have space for 3 or 4 primaries.
*if I was going to spend the money, and if I had space for it, I would look into single tier set ups.

I would rather get a regular conical and a large enough freezer to put it in. The regular MoreBeer 14 gallon conical fermenter is $995, and the temperature controlled one is $1,895. That's $900 extra for temperature control. You can get a brand new upright freezer that will hold more than the 14 gallon fermenter for under $500. You can make or buy a temperature controller for less than $100 which easily leaves you with $300 more to buy more brewing supplies. Then if you ever stop brewing, take a hiatus, or simply brew fewer batches, you can still use the the freezer for other stuff.

I am waiting to see more info on the BrewEasy (as well as other new Blichmann products). I wouldn't want to rush into something without at least seeing a few reviews on it and watching a few batches being brewed. If you do end up buying it, please upload some videos.
