Hmm...Let me guess - transmission problems?

Yep - but mine were self inflicted from doing hole-shots from park to drive. The other bad memories were wrecks, spin-outs because of the light rear end, some drug fueled runs with very scary people in the back seat and other stuff that hasn't passed the statute of limitations..:cross:

Many good memories and a few really bad ones as well in this gem... '79 Chevy Impala

My parents had an early 80's model. Was always great for scaring the **** out of people on backroads making them think you were the cops coming up on them :mug:

'93 BMW 325is. Spent more money tuning it up then it was probably worth. Fun as hell to drive though. 5-speed manual FTW.

my first was a 73 Duster. Had a 727 Torque-Flight Trans, 8 3/4 sure-grip rear, and a 318 with larger than normal carb. Car would haul a** fastest I ever had it going was pegged at 120 on I-55 south of Jackson. Friend I was racing had his nissan pegged at 140. Not real sure how fast we were doing.

Ended up totaling it doing 90 around a curve when the A frame broke, rolled it 3 times.

The 10 gallon Gas tank, with my lead foot getting 8-MPG made road trips a pain in the rear though

Would liked to have that rearend. Waiting for my motor build to be done so I can get it on the road again

My first car was a 1995 Escort Station Wagon, loved that thing. The first vehicle I bought myself was a 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with the V8. Also loved that but it was my "stupid kid who just got a decent paying job so let's buy a nice/expensive vehicle" moment and I soon realized I didn't like high payments so I traded it for an 05 F-150
