What vaccume sealer for hops?

I recently purchased a vaccume sealer off amazon for sealing my bulk hops. The sealer seemed to work fine for most food items, but it's never done pellet hops right. The one I use vaccumes and seals automatically under suction. When doing hops, it never draws enough air out, thus never seals. I can actually hit the seal button, but it stops suction which let's in a puff of air.

Any advise on one that you guys use that works well?

Which one did you get from amazon? I got this cheap one and so far it works fine (https://www.amazon.com/WAOAW-Compac...vacuum+sealer&qid=1555260010&s=gateway&sr=8-9) I’ve only used it a couple times (I just got it, so I can’t speak for its longevity) but it seems to suck out the air well and seal while still under a vacuum. For reference I’ve been sealing about 8oz of hops at a time.

I agree with Electricbrew that it would help to know what you already have.

I have a foodsaver, which I primarily bought for Sous Vide cooking. It came with a hose that you can stick into it. I bought some Zipper Bags, and the Zipper Bag Adapter, and it works great. I was able to fit two pounds of hops into a Zipper Bag (I think it may have been a gallon size bag), and it's resealable so I don't have to keep wasting bags whenever I open them up.

I still keep the bags that the hops originally came in, rather than putting them loose in the vacuum sealed bag. I roll up the bag, put it in the zipper bag, then seal.

I have a really old FoodSaver that I bought for freezing food bought in bulk. My model is vac 1050. I haven't seen one that is the same for many years.

Mine works very well. I had some trouble a while ago and cleaning the foam gaskets around the vacuum channel fixed that.
