After reading this month's BYO article on efficency I was wondering what other folks do during that time in your boil when you don't have to watch the pot like a hawk?

My last brew day was BUSY. I Bottled two batches (one 5 gallon and one 3 gallon), transferred one 5 gal to secondary while brewing up a new batch to pitch onto the (very) freshly freed-up yeast cake. With my slow sanitizing process (which is being changed as of now) the whole process was 6 hours or so. Granted while my bottles were soaking in the bathtub of bleach water I ran some errands at the LHBS (forgot to get something) and elsewhere.

So, what do y'all do to stay efficient?

Clean up my mash tun and get secondary circuit for my immersion chiller set up. Or dump the mash tun and dump in round two and get round two strike water to temp.

Dump the spent grains, clean the mash tun, get the chiller ready and sanitize the carboy.

Pour another beer. :rockin:

This. I am always cleaning or putting things away. I can get a 5 gallon AG batch done and put away in as little as 4 hours.

Wait, so you dont drink furiously? for those 60 mins after the break, I drink.

Also, Interpretive Dance, shave my back, smoke a cig, paint pictures of Ponies running freely though meadows while crying, etc.
