Hey guys

Made a bit RIS this past weekend and my final runnings were 1.055 so I decided to collect more for another brew. Sanitized a carboy and collected about 6 more gallons. Thinking of putting in the pot to boil with some hops. Would this be just a "session" RIS? Maybe half the amount of hops from my original RIS? How do you decide the hop profile for partigyle style brews (I think this is what it's called)

Thanks

Scott

What is the gravity and approximate SRM of the second gyle? I'd use that, plus my knowledge of the grain bill, to decide next steps. I imagine you have something akin to a brown ale in the making. Hops would be added to style, and to achieve an appropriate BU:GU ratio given the weaker (but still robust) wort. Style could be American or English, lots of leeway there, and hop choices will vary greatly as a result. Same with yeast.

I recently brewed an old ale, 1.076, and a small second runnings produced an ordinary bitter, 1.037. I hopped and fermented both to style.
