Is bargainfittings.com the cheapest way to go? My lhbs has a weldless ball valve with bulkhead and nipple for $60.00 something. I feel like bargainfittings.com is cheaper than that but they sell everything separately so not sure what I need.

Bargain fittings is the way to go. I dont even want to thing about how much I have spent on Stainless steel products from him. But he by far has the best prices, and it gets to you super fast.

A lot of people around here uses him, and I have not heard a bad thing about BF.

This is what I bought from bargainfittings.com

KEG weldless bulkhead kit

I added:

Valve: Stainless 2 piece valve
Hose barb: 1/2" Male NPT x 1/2" Hose - SS
Inside the vessel fitting: 1/2" NPT 90 - SS

I also added another 1/2" Male NPT x 1/2" Hose - SS

Sub-Total: $30.99

I have since removed the outside hose barb and replaced it with a camlock.

Another Question I have is How do you screen the sort as it flows out? False bottom, screen around the dip tube, or does it not matter????

I'm assuming your making a MLT out of a pot here, if so you can get a false bottom, or you can use some SS braid, yet another option is make a mainfold from copper pipe. Up to you on how you want to do it. The DIY threads might be a good place to look if you dont want to drop the cash on a false bottom.

Just another thumbs up for bargain fittings. Excellent service, turn around times, shipping, prices....He's got it all.

Also I would recommend going with 1/2 not 3/8. You flow is limited by the smallest part. so even if everything is 1/2, if you have it flowing through a 3/8 valve, that will be your choke point.

I just received the New Style Bulkhead from BarginFittings yesterday. It works great, love the welded washer and flat gasket. No drips!
