Good advice. Any good links for on-line recipes?

There are a lot of great recipes on this forum in the recipes section, but they can sometimes be hard to sift through.

If you're willing to buy a book or two, I'd really recommend "brewing classic styles" by zainascheff and palmer, and "designing great beers" by ray daniels. The first is pretty basic, and gives a solid base recipe for every style of beer in the bjcp. The Daniels book is much more technical, but does a good job of teaching you how to choose your ingredients to get better control of your final outcome.

Good luck! :mug:

I second the Daniels recommendation. Haven't read brewing classic styles, but the Daniels book has a lot of the "why" explained, that I found was lacking in other "beginner/intermediate" brewing books. Still very accessible though, with only a bit of previous knowledge.
