I want to brew a red NEIPA..what are some malts that will impart a nice deep red color but have a mild flavor?

I've never used it, but Red X sounds like what you might be looking for. You could also use the new Carapils Copper from Briess. You could probably use that at 5-10% without too much flavor contribution.

never heard of that malt..just read up on it, it might be the one and you can use 100% of the grain bill which is good cause i prefer to keep my grain bills simple for ipas

FD&C Red #40 - has no malt flavor.

Red is a by-product of flavor. You would add rye to get the rye sharpness/dryness, and as a side-effect you get some red color...

You could go with Carared if you are OK with toffee, caramel, and honey. You will add body, if that's acceptable.

Melanoiden Malt is another option.

BESTMALZ RedX, CaraBelge ( use 5.9% in a 4.3% APA and it did not give any overly malty, sweet flavours. The beer turned bright yellow, very nice ), CaraRed ( just a tad malty and low EBC ), which means you need to use a fair bit of it. Maybe a Munich / CaraRed or RedX combo.
