I have been reading about to tygon B-44-4x which is suppose to be the best at reducing the plastic taste from beer lines on the kegerator / keezer. The problem with this line is that it is very expensive ($1/ft). Where is everyone buying their line? For those that are using tygon b-44-4x how often do you guys change your beer lines?

I use a combination of tygon and regular pvc lines. I do like the tygon lines but they are expensive and I can't find a good (cheap) dealer right now to replace my other lines. I have never replaced the tygon lines but I have only used them ~5-6months. I have replaced some of my pvc lines after 6months as they looked nasty with discoloration. However, this was a cheap pvc line and the pvc line I use now has not changed colors.

If you are looking for pvc lines kegconnection.com sells good stuff. My suggestion would be to buy enough pvc line for roughly 2 kegs and see how you like it.

I use the Tygon and I like it. It is easier to deal with inside the keezer as it is more flexible and smaller in diameter than the previous tubing I used. I will consider replacing after 12 months to 18 months.
