Just wondering. I transferred my cider to a secondary fermenter about 5 days ago. At that time, it had a gravity of 1.000. However, since I put it in the secondary, fermentation has been continuing non-stop. Even now, 5 days later, I'm still getting about one huge bubble in the airlock every minute.
The lowest my hydrometer goes is 0.900, but how low is the lowest something can go? For example, if you decided to ferment nothing but simple sugars and threw a bunch of yeast nutrient and a huge batch of alcohol-tolerant yeast with a super high attenuation into a well aerated liquid, how low could the gravity go?
Mainly just something I was wondering about.
