What is the difference in taste of a Saison/Farmhouse that is brewed via external heat (either gas or electric) vs. one brewed via internal heating element?

Equal recipes and volume brewed via the different cooking sources. The recipe and yeast aside. Wondering how the direct heating element affects the wort (flavors, etc).

I doubt you can taste a difference. It could be that the smaller surface of an internal heat element caramelizes more of the sugar. But as i said, you probably wont taste any difference. It would be a nice experiment tough.

It's not really about the method of heating but rather the total thermal load. This isn't unique to saisons.
