What in tarnation?

This is my first ever batch of kombucha and has been brewing for 1.5 weeks. I posted a photo earlier this week and people seem to agree that it’s not mold. I’m just so confused. I don’t see anything that looks like a scoby (rubbery/snotty) on the top. It’s dark on the bottom of the jar so I can’t see much there and don’t want to disturb it. Any ideas?
