Finally hooked up the heating bits to my STC 1000s for top end control of my fermentation chambers. Two Johnson A419s coming up for sale soon. Disassembled and cleaned 2/6 empty kegs. Will get the rest tomorrow.

Hung my panel, powered it on and cleaned up a spot in my basement close to the sump pump. Tomorrow Im gonna run around and see what i can scrounge up for a brew stand. Yard sales.... Here i come ! ImageUploadedByHome Brew1401578962.246584.jpgImageUploadedByHome Brew1401578981.654133.jpg

I reworked my tap cooling system. I added a bigger bucket for the salt water fixed my tap coolers. Pic below. I also ran my beer line through 6" corrugated pipe and insulated the outside of
The pipe I hope to hook up a fan in an attempt to air cool everything. ImageUploadedByHome Brew1401579681.355811.jpg

I'm not sure if my the flavors in my beer are off or complex 😳

Gotta get busy again. Clean the fermenter & bottling bucket after bottling the Irish red yesterday. Need a larger OD seal for the spigot before I can fill it with a dampfbier tomorrow....

Well, shizz just got real. No seals for their taps that lowe's sells either. Remember that sheet we used to cut bike inner tube patches from? Had to get a sheet of that & a cheapy razor knife to cut a bigger seal from. gonna have to double stack'em though,as it's rather thin. Also got a blue lowes bucket (HPDE 2) for my grains with lid for 4 bucks or so. Now the orange HD bucket can be used for water, draining fermenters, etc. Gonna see if the base of the Barley Crusher mill will fit the Lowe's bucket. Also found 5/16" ID tubing to fit the auto siphon as well. Now I can take back my other racking tube. Got my spring water for tomorrow's brew day as well.
Had to lol when I got to the BBQ section. I found NC "Butt Rub" with matching vinegar sauce. I don't wanna know why you guys down in NC have stuff to rub her butt with?...:D

Cleaned and rearranged my garage. Gathered together my clean bottles. Now I know why it seemed like things were tight in there. I found 46 full cases of cleaned bottles and 4 partial cases !! Looks like I need to be brewin more lol

cleaned 5 kegs
dumped 2 old batches
racked 2 batches and cleaned fermenters
finished starter for tomorrow's batch
planned recipe for tomorrow
calibrated 0.5 gal marking to new sightglass on new hlt, also finished wiring this in and tested and cleaned ready to go tomorrow
cut some pieces of metal and drilled for second burner support on new brewstand
gathered 8 gallons of RO water for tomorrow
checked on new hop plants, probably won't need a trellis built this year..
got parts ordered to finally complete counter pressure bottle filler
Also parts to build a sanke pressure fermenter
Hops inventory (dang I need to brew some beer, double hops in all recipes until further notice )

Put up my trellis for my 2nd year hops. Then tried to untangle the mess of vines that have had nothing to climb on yet thus year :( ..

Jeezum crow, that's not a garage, that is a warehouse...

Gotta let the soaking fermenter clean so I can make a couple thin seals for the inside end of the spigot. Bit of a leak. Then I can brew the dampfbier waiting in the wings...

Put in a garden, specifically a hop garden, and i got a great deal on them. 25 rhizomes for $15... I put in 2 rows of cascade, 1 row of of mount hood, 1 row of galena, and 1 row of williamette. I'm gonna put pvc in the ground, and hook string up to it, that way the hops have a place to grow up to.

I cut the oversize seal for the inside end of the FV spigot from this thin rubber material Lowe's sells. Fits tight on ID,but hoping it'll seal up the hole I cut in the Midwest shorty bucket soaking now.

OK,got the bucket cleaned out & new additional seal sanitized & in place. Here's a couple shots;

I also trimmed some small burrs of the edges of the mounting hole. I'll have to test it with a fresh water rinse to see if it works. But it looks OK so far...

Success! Not one drop leaked out from behind the seal as it did before. It had been tightened down as much as one dared go before popping the seal out of place. It had been leaking from half way up both sides of the seals. No more & with cold water to boot. The 65-70F wort should expand the seals more to keep it liquid proof.:mug:

Bottled 3 gallons of my tequila lime oaked saison. Bottled 5 gallons of heady/Ghandi inspired Vermont style IPA. Brewed 5 gallons of all citra IPA. Cleaned what seems like 500 bottles.

Took the last case of apple cider, geared up and uncapped every single one dumping them all down the drain. These were pasteurized but for whatever reason, they were still bombs after 6 months. Sad as I intended for these to be tasty but nope. These were highly unstable as I moved a case last week and they exploded after minimal movement.

Not sure but 12 minutes at 170F is not working for me. These are bottles that were pasteurized 2 days after bottling and back sweetening with 2 gallons apple juice to a 5 gallon batch. SOB!!!

technically today as I didn't get done until midnight last night...

Finally bottled my imperial (lime) cream ale. 10.3 ABV and pretty tasty so far. Sad though that I had to leave about a gallon behind in the carboy, though... with half the bottles promised to the father in law, and a few bottles here and there to people wanting to try it... this batch is already almost gone, and it isn't even carbonated yet!

Time to order more ingredients...

The color looks so far like it'll be a nice golden. Pitched the WLP 380 @ 65F. Airlock center piece pegged almost immediately. Aeration through the dual layer fine mesh strainer gave a few inches of foam as well.:rockin:

Brewed 5 gallons pilsner based lager with Mt. Hood @ 45 with 34/70. Made a starter of WLP800 for a pilsner with lots of Saaz to be brewed in next couple days. Need some hot weather beer for the Florida summer heat.
