Brewed the SWMBO's favorite for her birthday next month. She still haven't noticed. Hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise.

NB AG breakfast stout

Just got some hop socks I'd cleaned dried & ready to put away. Also bought a mixed case of craft beers for later today & the weekend. Still have 2 Burton ales left in the fridge. My Sunset Gold APA should be at a stable FG Sunday.

stepped up some yeasts I am bottle harvesting/ growing from white labs tube bottom.

Pacman from Captain something ale
from Founders Dirty Bastard
From bells two hearted ale
California
Burton
English
Some German dark wheat beer

I received my portable faucet in the mail as well as a secondary fermenter lid for my keg I am getting. I also used a gift certificate I got for my birthday at one of my favorite liquor stores. Picked up some DFH Noble Rot, Six Point Resin, DFH World Wide Stout, and Lost Abbey Red Barn Ale. I am sad World Wide Stout won't be brewed this year so I am trying to accumulate enough to have one bottle a month.

+1 on the noble rot. was kind of melancholy over the fact that the keg was kicked at the local tavern. samischlaus is still raging though...

Samichlaus... Oh, lord, has that beer wrecked a few evenings for me. It always SEEMS like such a good idea to start a night of heavy drinking with such a great quality beer. Then after you switch to something more survivable, the sledgehammer drops!

our beer bar dropped four locos for joose and now they don't even have that!- if i don't want to stumble to a place that serves liquor, my sledge is a ball peen, at best!! but you are correct to start with the good stuff, my good sir...

Picked up ingredients for my Saison and a weldless kettle valve at the LHBS then bottled an IPA to free up a carboy. Brew day is next weekend.

IMG_0641.jpgWell went to plumbing supply house, got all parts for a in line water heater to boost hot tap to 160 for mash. Then threaded all the pipes and fittings together at end of day. Dropped off HB to guys at local beer store. Posted to a few great Threads. enjoyed 5 brews so far. Pic before and After.

Transferred my lager to the secondary. All I need now is some way to keep it cold when it isn't already cold outside.

Insulated my mash 13.3 gal keggle with 1.5 inches of mineral wool with aluminum flashing while consuming multiple cream ales.

Ran our of CO2 last night, kicked a keg, then I kicked the keezer, and made some ravioli. I didn't know it was that easy. To make things right, I stopped at the Candy Store and picked up a 12'er of SNPA. So I'm happy for the moment.

i put grains in the tun- i was supposed to be home by six- but lieffmans, cuvee, damn how it ruins a well planned night (that and about 14 lagers and fireballs - i think goldshlager and tobasco) well- i will be there for you tomorrow, beer- where were you for me tonite??

picked up this tank and now have to decide what to do with it. cut it in half and make two 35gal conical or a mash tun and boil kettle. IMG_0642.jpg
it is A 70GAL tank picked it up for $160

Ya but the darn thing is heavy would have to put it on a swivel cause I dont want to pick it up it is made out of prob 1/8' SS. I can get a hold of more SS every day and my pops is a welder so we can make anything a brewer needs but I find myself in a delima of not wanting to waste the tank and make it as usefull As possible.

I racked a wheat beer on to 4lbs of blueberries. I have to say San Diego Super Yeast fermented out in about 3 days and was clearing a few days after that. I also washed some bottles and worked on recipes for some beers.

I registered on this forum, had a question answered within seconds of posting ;-) And I am boiling up an IPA as this is being written.
Cheers!

Welcome!

Just pitched yeast on my English IPA, just doughed in my Irish Red. Nailed my numbers on the first, the second's off to a good start.

Brewed some Honey Blonde Ale, in honor of my daughters B-day (like I need a reason to brew!!) I didn't use my new keggle for this beer, next one for sure!!
