OK I jotted down all my ingredients and drove down to the shop to get them so that I can brew today.
I ended up having to sub almost everything including the yeast because they were pretty limited on stuff.
the recipe I got from "How to Brew" are as followed
Victory and Chaos Malt:
4lbs Pale malt LME
4Lbs Pale Malt LME At Knockdown
Half pound of Crystal 20l
Hops
1oz Nuggets boil 60min
2oz EK Goldings 15min
1oz EK Goldings 5min
Yeast White Labs P013 London Ale
After checking Pro Mash I came up this so Instead I had to get:
3lbs of Muntons Amber DME
1lbs of Briess Light DME
4lbs of Alexander's Pale Malt LME At Knockdown
12.5oz of weyermann carahell malt
Same Hops as above
Yeast was a White Labs P022 Essex ale
My question is...Is this the same beer with a different variation or a new beer all together.
I think because of the characteristics of the years this beer would be classified as an English IPA.
I don't think I botched it though everything went pretty smooth and it clocked in at 1.067 OG
