I made a chocolate milk stout from an extract kit. Used cacao nibs for 14 days in the primary carboy. I can't taste any discernible chocolate. Bottled probably 7 weeks ago. Thoughts?

i like to presoak my nibs in vodka (24hr), then add it. I like to crush em up a bit while there in there aswell.

Just tossing them whole into a fermentor is not going to extract much. As said above, break into little bits and soak in Everclear, vodka, whisky or bourbon for a few days to 2 weeks. then add to your beer.

If you let it steep long enough you can probably strain it and add the steeped potion to the beer in the bottling bucket, right before bottling.
