5 lbs of fresh never frozen, free range, Gluten free, no antibiotics, no steroids, blah... blah... blah... South Alabama Deer equals 2.75 pounds of jerky:

Reduced by about half. Close to being done, but will be even thicker shortly. I love this recipe because it’s about putting a bunch of great ingredients into an excess of solvent, in this case 64 ounces of water and 48 ounces of chicken stock, that leaches out a ton of flavors, then you reduce that by more than half to concentrate all those flavors. Of all the stuff I cook, this is top of the list as a family favorite!

I made an Irish beef stew the old fashioned way in a Dutch oven - no crock pot, no pressure cooker. It turned out really well - tender beef, thick flavorful broth, lots of tender carrots and potatoes, too. Will definitely make again.

Both of these just look amazing, but then I am a huge dumpling fan!! Well done, both of you!

Im a huge dim sum fan. We have 2-3 really good Chinese places with outstanding dim sum brunch on the weekends. Making dumplings from scratch is the only time consuming part. I used some Bibigo chicken/cilantro wontons for mine. They are excellent for soup too. I normally buy Assi brand kimchi and pork dumplings "mandu" just because they are so good. I havent seen them in the markets lately. I cook them pot sticker style usually. Fried on one side and steamed until done.

This is;

A bowl of black peppered bacon, a medley of potatoes, onions and peppers topped with a blend of Monterey Jack, and Asadero cheese.

Fried in the bacon drippings.

Drinking a Apple smoked rauchbier.

First time I've seen cucumbers used.. I like the idea

Thanks. I used to demolish wings with a side of celery sticks, but in recent years, I've discovered that celery doesn't like me as much as I like it, so I had to make a change.

Been using sliced cucumber as a wing side for quite a while now, and it seems to provide the right bit of cooling for the palate vs. the spiciness of wing sauce.
