Had a lunch of tuna salad, after knocking out 4 pints of peach salsa. So now I have wild (foraged) muscadine grape jelly, crab apple jelly and the peach salsa to enter into competition at next month's NC State Fair.


Just got back from the lake, be making up some fish tacos later tonight!

For those of you that make salsa, smoke your veggies!!! My buddy has made a few batches recently where we smoked his peppers, etc, for three hours and its easily the best salsa i have ever had. Incredible!

Kid is home sick. Her birthday yesterday and we were too busy to do much.
She requested Zuppa Toscana (ala olive garden) for her birthday meal. I may go home early to get some things done and spend time with her and make her that soup. It's what everyone in my family requests on their birthday.
