Just fired the burner under the BK and a little thundershower rolled in. Oh well. I’m sitting inside with my Scottish Ale watching the rain.

We’ve been pretty lucky so far this summer. It’s rained, a little, almost every week since early May, and we’ve had very few really hot, windy, days.

Our FD had it’s first call this summer yesterday. Someone was mowing around the cemetery between here and the next little town to the east and started a fire in the ditch. I was in the semi, hauling grain, and by the time I got back to town the crew was on it’s way back to the station. I hope our luck holds out.

Night cap! Have to get to work on time for @TheEagleRising first 3bbl brew. Looks like a Red tomorrow. Maybe a boring choice but, needed in the lineup before I go on vacation.

Brewday finished, everything cleaned up, 5 gallons of Blonde Ale in the fermenter at 1.050. Drinking what’s in the back of the fridge. This is good stuff.

Bottled up some beer and kegged the rest. Also weighed out some grain and set up for brew day tomorrow. Relaxing with this....

Too freaking hot outside. I’m going to sit in my cool basement, read, and sip on this. (Reading a book about the Great Halifax Explosion during WWI. Don’t remember this from history class, but very interesting.)
