Reaching into the way back for this one. A Deschutes/Hair of the Dog collaboration brewed in 2012. A Strong Ale that reminds me a bit of Lagunitas' Hairy Eyeball. It's over 11% abv but quite smooth, malty with just a bit of funkiness to it. I let it warm to about 55° and it seems just right.
Always tastes so good to me. I don't know how they do it but it has a great taste and color. Like there is a little of everything in the flavor but balanced. A great beer in my book and goes well with grilled food too!
Big guy tonight after finally making it through our spring outage at work. Liquid mounds bar with the viscosity of 90w gear oil on a February morning in Fargo, ND. It hides 15% very well.
