Drank a 50/50 sailor jerry and Coke. On to this while I finish filling up the cigar mold. It will be on the hush hush but hooligan hand rolls may be available for purchase in the near future.

I agree with blizzard's assessment. I had one over the weekend and it was pretty hot with fusel alcohol. It was most definitely a sipper.

Christmas started before Halloween this year. I saw candy canes being on the shelves the Friday before halloween. Blasphemy. They already have far surpassed the best holiday of them all Turkey-day, now they are trying to kill off prank/candy-day! Those bastards.

You just got a puppy, sooner or later you may have kids. Long gone will be the day you can sleep in any size bed comfortably. I remember fondly what the feel of sleeping through the night under covers and not teetering on the very edge of the mattress. I'll remember what it was like not fearing sleeping on my left side without the possibility of getting kicked in the face by a baby foot or sleeping nestled between dog buns.

I haven't had the imperial yet, this may be their first batch as far as I know. The regular sponge candy stout is funking gorgeous. Sweet, chocolate, dry.. if there isn't a limit (can't imagine there would be) I'll definitely be stocking a few.

A nice dark chocolate with the toffee.. not sure why it would sound unappetizing. You can't take a quick bite though, may hurt yourself but if you let it sit in your mouth for a few moments it will just melt.

I'll have to start adding some to trades/bifs.

Anyone have experience using Carastan? I'm looking to make a red ale, and I believe it's what's used in Rogue St Rogue and OB Gordon. I love the flavor but want a little drier in my beer. I'm trying to nail down what crystal malt gives that flavor.

You can use english malts like Maris otter, Victory, munich to keep it dryer and give it the redish/roastiness you are looking for.

Munich, victory, and a little (like 2oz) of special b is what I use in my red IPA to get a nice color.
