That had been the understanding. She went from head hair straight to stash. She is walking through the house like a puppy that just got beaten right now.... We have had our issues... We had a separation.... First fight... And it is over something stupid, I suppose they all are.

Not cool. SWMBO has been threatening to shave my beard, but I remind her that she has to sleep at some point and that she will wake up with a mohawk if she does follow through. ;)

Enjoy your whiskey, kill that dog if it attacks your family again. Sooner if you can.

It really isn't the breed though.

Im sorry man. Usually is the owner fault. **** that guy. If you see it outside their lawn shoot it. I would not stand it if i was in your shoes. That guy will be crying himself after i talk to him. One reason i do not like dogs. Majority of dogs are fine and cause no trouble. Just trash like that you have to look out for.

I definitely blame the owners more than the dog. I'd rather shoot them than the dog, but that's sorta frowned upon. What's crazy is, my wife was just telling me the other day that she hopes that dog never gets out because when they walk down the road it goes nuts and jumps against the gate on the porch. The people told me they're in the process of getting a fence put in. I hope for their sake, they get it put in quick. I don't want to make enemies with my neighbors, but I will do what I have to do to protect my family. Bottom line.

Needed something strong after this evening. Had to walk over and have a serious and moderately threatening talk with the neighbors. Their pit bull go out of their house and ran all the way out to the street to attack my wife and daughter while they were walking down the road. Thankfully the owner realized the dog got out and ran out there before he could do any serious harm, but they were shaken up really bad, especially my little girl. She said she doesn't even want to go for walks anymore and I couldn't even put her down until we got to our porch. My wife called me from the street crying. Then the pieces of white trash garbage had the nerve to cuss my wife out and act like it was her fault. Are you ****ing kidding me?! That was the last straw. They changed their tone real quick when I walked over there. I'm so sick of people owning vicious dogs. I know any dog can be mean, but how often do you hear of a fox terrier ripping someone's face off. No, pit freakin bulls are vicious and I'm sick of hearing people defend them. I told the owners if I saw it outside their yard again, it's gone. Simple as that.
Whatever, rant over. Feel free to ignore.

F@ck that I would end that dog's existance. 4 grams of tylenol in some ground meat problem solved.

That's some trashy neighbors. It's ridiculous when people blame you for situations like that instead of taking responsibility. I'd call animal control on them and let them handle it. Hopefully they can at least document the dog's aggression and keep the owners names on file for future reference.

Sounds like a good idea for dinner. Haha!
Yeah, the dog's days are numbered whether the owners know it or not. It got out once. It'll happen again. And when it does, I have more than the necessary means and ability to take it down and I won't think twice.

About to switch from kombucha to beer!

I have mixed feelings about the dog thing. On one hand, larger dogs, like pit bulls, are dangerous, because they are so big and heavy. Little dogs, like dachshunds, chihuahuas and poodles can be viscious little bastards, but they are small enough to kick away if they attack. I have always been against the continuance of the pit bull breed, until I interacted with some friend's dogs and saw how sweet they are. I now have a pit mix that is a little smaller than a pure pit...rescued from a shelter. She is a big sweetheart. Pits used to be adored as family pets because of their tendency to be protective of children. It tends to be the pits that were raised to fight, or that have been abused, that are bad...as are their owners. I still think those animals need to be put down and their owners jailed. I agree that the owners are the source of almost ALL issues, from the dogs' behaviour to the lack of controlling them. My biggest "pet" peeve is owners that flaunt the leash laws, because THEIR dog is okay...not like anyone else's dog. I could go on and on and relate a couple run-ins I've had, but you get the idea. I love dogs, pity the abused ones, and HATE bad owners. But you certainly do whatever to protect family.

My wife called the police directly after it happened and they sent an officer out. Of course, there wasn't enough for them to do anything, but now there is a record of complaint against that dog.

Glad everyone is ok @WesleyS That's a scary situation to be in. Growing up, a friend and I were attached by my neighbors chow. We took off running and it took him to the ground. I beat the **** out of that thing until it let go. Luckily he only had minor injuries. The neighbors got rid of that thing quick.

Thanks man. Good thing your situation turned out relatively well.
I have a no nonsense policy with animals. I've been bit before with no provocation. I take the appropriate measures to keep my dog on my property. If other people don't respect others enough to do the same, well, they don't deserve to be dog owners and I'll help them out with that problem if their dog threatens me or my family. I don't want my kid to be too afraid to play in the yard or walk down the street. That's total BS.

I do agree with you. If a little chihuahua is coming after me, whatever, I can kick the little bastard across the county and move on. But, when a big dog is vicious, it becomes a big and sometimes fatal problem. It is more the owner's fault than anything. I'm just tired of hearing so much defense of pit bulls like they're the nicest dogs ever and it's all rainbows and unicorns and it's all due to misinformation and misunderstanding that they get a bad reputation. They are dangerous dogs. When they get ahold of something or someone, they are deadly and almost impossible to get them to let go and I've seen enough attacks without provocation.

See that guy? I love that guy. I rescued him, he literally worships the ground I walk on. It's almost silly how much me & that dog love each other. If he bites my kids or anyone else's he's dead. No questions asked. I'll mourn, but not nearly as much as I would a child.

OT still night capping.

Study i saw recently put most big "viscous" dogs are substantially less aggressive than average, pits included. IIRC jack russels were the worst.

But as has been said, when big dogs attack it's much more dangerous.

The little toy dogs I've known have all been vile little monsters, but all the pits and rottweilers I've known have been great dogs.

He looks tuckered out.
This little bastard is getting cranky in his old age, but loves everybody, even strangers, especially if they throw his toy. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1430797133.539109.jpg

KBS now.

Wesley, sorry to hear your trashy neighbors can't control their dog. A lot of people say pitbulls are inherently vicious, but a good friend of mine had one (a rescue to boot) that was the best playmate my pointer/retriever mix has ever had. She was a great dog, minus her separation anxiety. That said, I don't take kindly to anyone or anything threatening my family.

Then again, my pointriever is the most submissive, pushover of a dog ever, but he listens to my every command and he's great company. SWMBO's yorkie has him in check too, and he's 10x her weight.

Don't. They honestly don't care. Cars want food and a place to sh!t. Give them that and they're yours.

Bowser won't bite you if you have a whole chicken breast doubled in your fist. Trust me, I tested this.

Cats are crazy. But, I do like your cats. They are obviously a little mischievous, but also seem like great pets.

Having a Lemon Drop something-or-other from @Hello. I think it's a SMaSH Pale Ale? Whatever...it's good!

Damn Wesley that blows. But your description of white trash says it all. It's always the owner's fault. My pit mix is the biggest sweetheart of a dog I have ever seen and has never had any problems, she just loves being around people and will lick any burglar to death at worst. My neighbor across the street had a 200 pound dog (can't remember the name of the breed but sure I'll remember it tomorrow) that attacked his wife and almost killed her when he fell down the stairs and she went to check on him. But then again, that guy is is a huge drug addict and owns various military vehicles and assault weapons so he's all f#@ed up to begin with. It starts with the owners

If your car is sh!tting, you might need to see a mechanic. Do they have the ridiculous emissions testing along with state inspection crap up there? I'm certain a sh!tting car wouldn't pass that.

It's almost never the dogs fault, really. But we can't put down dog owners. At least not yet mwahahaha.

Sorry. Nightcaps empty, fridge is full. Nightcap II? Don't mind if I do!
