Coffee.

Big project to finish today and have to be home early. Crappy morning but probably a nice afternoon ahead.

I have the same granite on my kitchen counters as Coldcrash.

Waiting on more coffee. Now that I got an informed answer to carb questions from BJCP honchos over the kottbusser, I'll bottle it today. Got chilly overnight, so hopefully it settled a bit more of that misty stuff out.

Coffee.

It's been far too long since my last brew day; feels good to have a starter going, even if I can't find my stir bar.

Dumb question, do you need a stir bar if you don't use a stir plate?

Speaking of starters, I should make one too.

True story.

Most of us here would probably do it if we had 40 KBS...one time.

Perhaps. ;) I don't know the kid and he hasn't exactly interacted with me well.

So the distro for that stuff is fairly great up there it would seem.
I believe at best someone can get a 4 pack here from the right bottle shop. I'd have to drive about an hour to get a 4 pack and may not. I think I got one last year, none the year before. I may get one this year. I didn't get any CBS, the line was about 400 people deep at 12 pm on a Sunday, I knew there was no reason to stand in line for a pour.

I've never really chased a beer though so I don't likely understand the culture like some others do.

Coffee.

as I ponder that spring begins this evening and I'm trying to decide if I'm more incredulous about the 3-6" of snow we are supposed to get or that my neighbor just put their Christmas tree out with the trash...

Oh, and I realize my sample size of posts is pretty small, but I think the new version of the app (for iPhone) has fixed the double-post debacle.

Keep that damn snow to yourself down there. Enough already.

Nah, I like to share! :D

Question for everyone. Now that I have a grain mill I'm going to buy some full bags of 2-row and MO to get my grain prices down. Anyone know how many 5 gallon buckets it takes to store a 55 pound sack of grain? I'm trying to decide if I get a big bin or stick with buckets. Thanks in advance.

Full throttle. Enjoy your snow, 68° here today. Grass is turning green.

Brew day tomorrow.

Can't decide between a saison, IPA or another "session" pale.

Just get a storage bin - way easier.

Speaking of starters, I should make one too.

Nope, if you are making a starter without a stirplate just swirl the flask every time you walk by/every so often to rouse the yeast and oxygenate. The stirplate/stirbar combo just automates the process and does it continuously.

Two buckets should handle it, waiting on your snow having a coffee.

Dumb answer: my stir plate is built into my counter. ;)

Haha. Just kidding. What BGBC said.

I'd be most incredulous at the color of that tree on the first day of Spring! Is it a real tree?

Here's my local breweries' taproom selections from last night. Out of these, I usually go for Deliciouslus. Very good beer here at Barrier in Oceanside.

Out of these, what's your pick?
