my latest IPA. only bottled on Friday. but due to cryptic comments in the "IPA Craze" thread, I had to make sure it was still there. it was and still carbonating, but surprisingly clear-ish!

Man of few words.

Topper. With a side sample for my lady and a mason jar to start a yeast collection. Have enough cans left that I should be able to build up a decent sampling for a starter.

I've got a 2nd gen starter of Conan going right now. I harvested from a few cans of Heady. Worked well in a pale ale, hoping it works well as a sacch strain for a peach sour.

Working on this tonight.

I have 10 cans left- and the ability to ask my family to get more if I run low without procuring another case (my birthday is coming up... ya know, in July :drunk:) The grain buy I am in on, that had a split bag of TF-PERL open, got closed out - gotta wait and see if we're going for another pallet or not.

I want to do a clone of HT!!!

Oh - Celebration. 2012. Oxidized - working my way through it because I need to bottles. Like a mellow Bigfoot.

I'm already doubting my ability to bottle for an extended period/beers that don't need to be aged. I think measuring my kegerator (currently planned to be my ferm chamer) to see if it can fit 3 3-gallon kegs will be in order....

Don't use the recipe from BYO. I used that one and it turned out nothing like Heady. A good DIPA (actually, it's more like an imperial brown IPA) with tons of hop aroma and flavor, just nothing like Heady.

Old Brown Dog. Love pretty much anything Smutty puts out.

Don't recall ever having such a hop bitter barley wine. Not something I'll seek out again but $10 for a 4 pack(at 9.6%) it's well worth the price.
